Getting there

Get to the Explore page by clicking the dropdown labeled More at the bottom of an activity card, found on the activity feed or bottom of the Dashboard.

Plots

Using Explore Plots

Use the Explore plots to look at specific movements during the activity, get insights into limb asymmetry, and look at the relationship between different metrics.

Mouse over any plot to see instantaneous measures for all selected metrics in the side panel.

In the Explore plots, the right limb is plotted in green and the left limb is plotted in orange. Portions of the plot highlighted in blue are excluded from calculations by our activity detection algorithm. Sections of the activity where movements other than the activity type are performed are excluded from summary calculations to ensure that only relevant movement are reported.

Click and drag on the plot to select an area of interest and click the magnifying glass above the selection to zoom in. Use the bottom navigation scroller to move through the plots at the same zoom level or expand or contract the zoomed-in section. Click on the magnifying glass in the top right of the plot to zoom out to the previous level, numbers beside this magnifying glass specify the zoom level you are on.

Customizing Explore Plots

The explore page can be customized to hone in on what’s important to you.

Hover above or below each plot and click on + Plot to choose the data that you want to look at. Different plots will be available depending on the activity. Search for the metric you want or select from the list.

Drag and drop plots using the drag handle to reorder the Explore page. Click the minus next to the selected plot to remove it.

Save any combination of plots by clicking SAVE AS and naming the preset. An unlimited number of presets can be made for each organization.

Use the Controls in the right hand side bar to further customize the plots.

Highlight when each foot is off the ground will indicate airtime. This is only available when viewing less than 10 minutes of data.

Show smooth plots (for activities over 5 minutes in length) to reduce plot noise.

Show trend line to overlay a linear fit on a plot.

Hide values excluded from summary to remove data that does not match the selected activity type from the plot.

Info

In the lefthand navigation sidebar or from the dropdown on the Daily activity card, click on Info to see or edit activity metadata. Edit the activity name, type, or notes by clicking the edit button.

If the recorded start or end time or date for the activity is incorrect (for example, if you forgot to click start until after the person was already half way through the activity) they can be changed here. When selecting a new start or end time, ensure that they capture at least 5 seconds of idle time during the activity in order for metrics to be calculated correctly.

If an activity is invalid, it can be deleted by clicking the Delete button. Once an activity is deleted it cannot be restored.

Files

In the lefthand navigation sidebar or from the dropdown on the Daily activity card, click on Files to upload or download files related to the activity.

Click the Generate CSV to download raw data for use with external programs or Generate Movement Map to download a visualization of all IMU axes over the course of the activity.

Use the Upload button to associate external files, such as video or other device data, with the activity.
