Speed Profile
The speed profile shows how fast the body’s centre of mass moved throughout the duration of the activity. This can be useful to characterize acceleration and braking, as well as consistency of speed. A steeper slope as the person gets up to speed indicates greater acceleration, and a steeper slope as the person goes slows down indicates greater deceleration. The speed trend in Figure 5 indicates that the person was unable to maintain their top speed for the duration of the activity.
