Speed Profile
The speed profile shows how fast the body’s centre of mass moved throughout the duration of the activity. This can be useful to characterize acceleration and braking capacity, as well as aerobic capacity. For example, if walking speed decreases throughout the activity, the person may not be able to sustain their chosen speed. Figure 1 illustrates a walk test in a hallway, in which the individual had to turn around 180°.
