Using Trend Plots

Use the Trend plots to see progress or regression in different metrics over time with respect to a healthy baseline or events like injuries, surgeries, or training program implementation. Events can be added or edited in a person’s profile.

Trends page

Selected plots will appear on the Trends page in the order they are arranged in the plot editor. Mouse over the data point for each activity or averaged group of activities to see metrics on each selected plot plot.

Trends page

Clink on a data point to see the individual activities contributing to the average. Access their report or explore pages from the popup.

Data point pop-up

Click and drag on the plot to zoom in on an area of interest. The data point grouping will automatically update. Use the bottom navigation scroller to move through the plots at the same zoom level or expand or contract the zoomed-in section. Click on the plot to zoom back out.

Added Events are shown as dashed grey lines. Mouse over the calendar icon to see or edit event information.

Plotted Event

For asymmetry plots, data points in the the green band represent low asymmetry, the yellow band represents moderate asymmetry and the red bands may indicate higher asymmetry.

Customizing Trend Plots

Use the Trend Group selector, plot editor, and controls in the right-hand sidebar to customize what appears on this page.

Click on Trend Group to choose preset (default or custom) groups of trend plots. Different plots will be available depending on the activity. Trend groups can contain a single activity or multiple activities.

Trend Group location

Edit a selected group by clicking on Edit Plots. Search for the metric you want or select from the list. Select as many different metrics as you would like to see, from as many different activity types as you want to compare, by clicking the check boxes next to the metric. Selected plots appear on the right.

Drag and drop selected plots to reorder them on the page. Click the X next to the selected plot or uncheck the plot on the list to remove.

Save any combination of plots as a new custom Trend Group for the person or the organization by clicking the Save button.

Editing the Trends page

Select your preferred time range for the trend group (all data, the past year, the past three months, the past month, or the past week), or click on the calendar to set a custom date range or use an Event as the start or end date of the plot.

For each data point, select whether the results summary box shows average or individual values for each activity performed on a given day.

At the bottom of the control panel, select your preferred data point grouping. By default, data points are automatically grouped by month, week, day or individual activity depending on the selected time range to improve plot readability.

Use the Controls box to add a mean, trend line or legend to each plot. The trend line is a linear best fit for the data currently visible. You can also toggle the visibility of events on each plot.
